The Independent Recommends BuddyPhones for Home Schooling

BuddyPhones School+ CES Award Winner

Our 2021 CES Award-winning BuddyPhones School+ has received a lot of attention since its recent launch. When the schools started closing due to the current pandemic, we saw the increasing need for headphones to serve young students in a way they deserve.

Are safeAudio® headphones essential?

With the shift to homeschooling, the use of headphones has significantly increased on a day-to-day basis. This increase is a concern because not all headphones have the volume limiting feature. As a result, kids get exposed to excessive noise for long periods, which can cause hearing loss.

Even after online classes have finished, kids will use the headphones for other leisurely activities throughout the day. Monitoring the time that your kids use headphones is a healthy practice, but you can put your mind at rest with volume limiting.

So, how can we protect children's hearing?

Our solution to this problem is the fantastic School+ that has the volume capped at 85dB as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). To meet the demands of online learning, we've fitted them with a high-performance beam-mic with passive noise cancellation.

The mic minimizes unwanted background noises so that others can hear your child's voice. If you are also working from home, you can rest assured that you won't be disturbing your child's lesson.

An excellent feature is that the mic can be detached, turning it into a pair of conventional everyday headphones for your child to listen to their favorite music or video.
